Learning Management System

Project Overview:

The main objective of this project was to create a scalable Learning Management System (LMS) portal focused on mental health training. The portal features interactive courses, resources, and updates on relevant news and events in Guyana, aiming to tackle the country's critical issue of high suicide rates.

The platform includes an extensive suicide prevention training program tailored for Gatekeepers. It offers self-paced learning modules, resources, assessments, and quizzes, equipping trainers and educators with vital knowledge about suicidal behavior and mental health disorders.

This project was funded by the Government of Canada, through Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF).

Result:

  • ✔ The new portal equips hundreds of healthcare workers and educators with vital mental health training, positively impacting the lives of thousands across multiple regions of the country.

  • ✔ Beyond being a gateway to mental health training, the portal is a dynamic and resource-rich platform. It offers engaging resources, news, and events, backed by the support of Guyana’s Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and the Office of the President.
